Autoimmune diseases are a huge group of more than 100 (!!!) conditions that involve your immune system basically attacking (inappropriately) some part of your own body. They are very common today and only getting worse.

Autoimmune disease often begins with telltale signs of feeling “off”, or more tired than usual. Some of the early and common symptoms include:
- low grade fever
- sore muscles or joints
- skin rashes
- digestive troubles
- and more (see the quiz below)
People often feel “like something is wrong” for months or years and visit many different doctors before being diagnosed. They might be told nothing is wrong (according to blood work) and have to wait until the disease progresses enough they can get a definite diagnosis.
