I’m Heather, registered dietitian turned joint pain nutrition expert when my amazing husband was diagnosed with joint damage due to psoriatic arthritis.
At one point simple tasks like wrestling the kids, riding a horse, and even walking became torture for my husband. Was this our new reality?
When prescriptions didn’t work, and my husband asked if there was any diet that might help… I wasn’t sure. After all, conventional medicine had taught me that diseases like my husband’s can’t be cured, it would only get worse, and that a cocktail of risky medications with unpleasant side-effects were our only hope.
Thankfully, we didn’t accept that.
Today, my husband is not limited by his joint pain. He can run, rough house our 5 kids, and weight lift to his heart’s content. His energy, mental clarity, heartburn, and migraines are better than ever.
He takes zero medications. He controls his joint pain using mainly food.
